I need more art in my life.
Even if that’s all my life consists of, I never lose the hunger for more.

Reposting this image with my original commentary edited next to it so that it cannot be easily removed anymore. I do not want to be associated with this comic without my two cents. Once again, fuck the asshole who deleted my commentary. It probably won’t get 12,000+ notes like the last one did, but I don’t care.
Wow…did not even realize.
I cannot recall if I reblogged the original post sans the wonderful commentary, because I remember seeing it on my dash once or twice (but not with the commentary). If I did, I apologise, and here you go!
Wow, I didn’t know that. I’ve reblogged this comic before, and I didn’t know what the painting was. I get that the artist didn’t mean badly, but he really fucked up by not doing more research.
Did anyone stop to think that that painting might have been used for a reason? Sometimes heavier people get heavy because of traumatic experiences in their life that result in psychological problems that could lead to weight problems. The look on her face in the second to last panel holds the possibility of being able to relate to the painting. Maybe this painting is more about not judging people based on appearance without the back story. So while making your opinions known, it is not ethical to bash on the artist while doing so. The name of the artist is on the bottom of the comic, so maybe do YOUR research and find out a way to e-mail him and ask about the story behind the art before you begin to ridicule someone. Art is not good art unless multiple meanings can be portrayed through it.
